Our Mission: Fewer Bookings, Happiest Couples!
Lessons We Learned from Our First Year as a Waterfall Wedding Venue
We aim to create an environment that rewards adventurous couples who embrace the unknown with grace, offering them a truly unique and unforgettable experience that few, if any other venues can provide. At Weddings Over Waterfalls, our first year in business has made one thing abundantly clear: we want to attract non-traditional, adventurous couples who are willing to go with the flow. Those who are drawn to nature and seek out exceptional experiences over conventional ones. While the Asheville area boasts so many wonderful wedding location choices, so very few, if any, are waterfall wedding venues featuring the breathtaking allure of flowing water, especially waterfalls. If you’re someone who instinctively gravitates towards the natural experience on your special day, you’re just the type of couple we want to host.
A Unique Experience Comes with Considerations
You’ve browsed our website and read our glowing reviews—Weddings Over Waterfalls is indeed a breathtaking waterfall wedding venue that will melt away even the most wedding-related stress. Our enchanting setting for both ceremonies and receptions is made from fairy tales. However, to enjoy this magical experience, you may need to navigate a few challenges. The question is—are these challenges manageable for you? Based on our experience, we have learned that couples respond differently to the following considerations, and we are looking for those who find them non-issues:
Parking: Our venue accommodates around 10 to 12 cars, including vendor vehicles. Are you open to having guests carpool?
Lodging: Being in a relatively remote area, lodging options are available via local Airbnb’s, but you and your guests will need to reserve these accommodations in advance.
The Ride In: The drive to our venue is winding and mountainous. While the scenery is stunning, it might make some passengers feel a bit car sick if they’re not accustomed to it.
Porta Potty: Due to our limited septic system, we provide a clean portable restroom for guests.
Gnats: Given the proximity to so much water and vegetation there may be gnats, but the good news is there are no mosquitoes! Here’s the best news – we offer in abundance an all-natural, organic oil-based spray that smells great and keeps them away. It smells and feels wonderful on your skin.
Our Status as an Emerging Venue: While we are not yet an established wedding venue, we are proud that every wedding and elopement we’ve hosted has been nothing short of phenomenal. We promise a highly personalized experience, coming straight from the heart.
Our Pricing: Our rates reflect the expenses associated with maintaining this beautiful property rather than being dictated by the market. Essentially, you’re investing in a venue with waterfalls. Additionally, we include nearly everything you’ll need for your event.
Coordination Requirement: For any event with more than 15 guests, we require you choose a coordinator to ensure a seamless experience.
My goal is to set reasonable expectations so you know exactly what you can expect at our outdoor wedding venue. This waterfall wedding venue was born from the property’s natural beauty calling out for weddings, not from a personal ambition to enter the wedding industry. As a regular guy with a vision, I’ve dedicated hundreds upon hundreds of hours to transform this previously raw land into a venue that shines. I’m fortunate to be supported by seasoned professionals in the wedding industry who are passionate about my vision and handle all things “wedding.” My role is that of a goodwill ambassador and steward of this beautiful property.
